Vlad Yekelchik
Chief Information Officer, EPIC

As a Senior Technology Leader, Vlad manages all Information Technology (IT) end-to-end, including information security, architecture, application development, data analytics, cyber insurance consultative services, supporting daily network operations, and sourcing new technology solutions. Prior to joining EPIC, Vlad held various senior leadership positions with leading global banking and insurance organizations. He brings over 30 years of Information Technology, Security Infrastructure and Application Solutions experience. Most recently he served as the Chief Technology Officer with AssuredPartners where he was responsible for leading their technology strategy and implementation. Previously, he spent over 10 years at Marsh in their Information Technology organization in various global leadership roles including serving as a Chief Information Officer of their US/Canada and Latin America divisions. Vlad earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Pace University in New York graduating with honors.

Derek Byler
Vice President Cyber/E&O North America Financial Lines Division, Chubb

Derek Byler is a Vice President in Chubb’s North America Financial Lines Division. He oversees Professional Liability and Cyber production for the New York region. His team offers a suite of nine E&O products including: Cyber, Technology E&O, Public Officials Liability, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Media Liability, Lawyers Professional, Licensed Professionals (Architects & Engineers, Contractor’s Liability), School Leaders and Employed Lawyers. Derek began his underwriting career in 2015 as an underwriter in Chubb’s Chicago region, before moving to the New York team in 2016. Prior to joining Chubb, Derek worked for a reinsurance broker, Integro Re, based in Chicago. There he was responsible for new client development and account management for both treaty reinsurance and program units. Derek graduated from the University of Florida in 2012 and has his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designations by the Institutes.

Vin Caracciolo
Managing Director of Claims & Coverage Advocacy, EPIC

Vincent is the Managing Director of Claims and Coverage Advocacy with EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants and is based in the New York City office. He provides coverage, brokerage and claims advocacy services to the firm’s clients. Vincent’s concentration at EPIC focuses on the Directors & Officers Liability, Errors & Omissions, Fidelity, Fiduciary, Private Equity, Financial Institutions, Employment Practices Liability and Cyber/Privacy Liability lines of business. Vincent joined EPIC in August 2016. Since 1991, Vincent’s experience has spanned that of a practicing attorney, a professional liability insurance underwriter, claims professional, an insurance company executive, and an insurance broker. His prior legal experience includes corporate transaction, banking, securities, and litigation practices, as well as insurance coverage counsel work for major insurance companies.
