Further Expands West Region of EPIC
EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, a retail property and casualty insurance brokerage and employee benefits consultant, announced today that Jonathan Wheat has joined the firm as Principal within its West Region Risk Management Team.
In his new position with EPIC, Wheat will be responsible for new business development and the design, placement, and management of risk management insurance programs. He will also provide solutions for middle market and large clients.
“We are thrilled to continue the growth of our West Region Risk Management Team,” said West Region Risk Management Leader BobbiJo DeNofa. “EPIC is making significant investments in the west, and we look forward to Jonathan being part of our growth in this area.” Wheat will report to DeNofa.
Wheat joins EPIC from American International Group where he served as a large casualty underwriter specializing in large loss sensitive and complex casualty programs. He formerly worked at Zurich North America.

Wheat is a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Construction Risk Insurance Specialist. He is active in a number of boards focused on supporting youth including Emerging Insurance Professionals and Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation. He is also a youth basketball coach for the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles.
