Webinar Recording Now Available!
Hosted by EPIC and Benefit Resource (BRi)
As a follow-up to our recent Special Compliance Alert, EPIC and our Continuation of Health Coverage (COBRA) partner, BRi, take a closer look at the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). We review the impact on employers and help you navigate these new requirements, including notice obligations and penalties for failure to comply.
Significant Employee Benefits Changes Include:
- ARPA federal subsidy that will cover 100% of COBRA premiums for certain Qualified Beneficiaries, running from April 1, 2021, through September 30, 2021.
- Individuals who previously experienced an involuntary termination or reduction in hours but did not elect COBRA, or dropped COBRA coverage but are still within their COBRA maximum coverage period, are allowed a chance to enroll or re-enroll.
