People First Charitable Foundation to Host Two Fundraisers in California
The People First Charitable Foundation employee volunteer committee will host two Brews & Boards for a Cause cornhole fundraising events in California in September to benefit hunger initiatives.
The first cornhole tournament will occur on Thursday, September 14, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at The Commons at MacArthur Court in Newport Beach, CA.
The second tournament will take place on Thursday, September 21, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Calicraft Brewing in Walnut Creek, California.
Chairman of the event planning committee, Alan Boring, said there are still openings for corporate sponsorships at each level. “Galway and the People First Charitable Foundation are dedicated to serving the communities where our employees live and work. We are excited to host our second and third 2023 Brews & Boards for a Cause event, and we want to thank our colleagues, partners, and clients who support our 2023 fundraising efforts. We hope to see you at either the Southern California event on September 14th or the Northern California event on September 21st!”
These two new events will raise money for local hunger causes, including Feeding America, the Orange County Food Bank, the LA County Food Bank and the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Counties. We are also pleased to share that Galway will match every dollar raised.
The People First Charitable Foundation is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit foundation led by a board of directors and managed by EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, Galway, MAI, and Jencap employee volunteers. Our foundation and committee were established in 2021 to create a way for employees to raise money and donate to charities that serve our communities.
Our mission is to fund charities active in the communities where our employees live and work. Our goal is to put People First to help those in need. Our foundation helps restore peace of mind for those experiencing difficulties central to our giving strategy, whether it’s disaster relief, hunger, homelessness, or health and education. The employees voted to raise funds to support hunger (food insecurity) causes in 2023.
The People First Charitable Foundation is led by a Board of Directors who meet quarterly; the Committee of employee volunteers meets biweekly. Our events come together through the Committee and with collaboration from our event planning members.
