EPIC Announces the Hiring of Thornton Withers
EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants, a leader in the Private Client sector, is excited to announce the hiring of Thornton Withers as Senior Vice President and Managing Principal.
Thornton brings a wealth of experience and expertise in managing the unique risks associated with a sophisticated, luxury lifestyle. Thornton’s approach involves close collaboration with clients and their advisors to develop proactive risk mitigation strategies and optimize insurance program value.
Thornton also very uniquely maintains sound experience and connectivity in the Private Equity sector and advises notable firms on how to complement their long-term risk mitigation strategies through a fund’s entire investment life cycle.

Thornton joins Epic Brokers from Lockton, where he has been a pivotal member in both Private Client and Private Equity since 2015. His extensive background includes significant roles at Willis North America, Aon, Time Warner Publishing, and First Union Capital Markets.
Thornton holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina. He is actively involved in several professional and civic organizations, including the Financial Planning Association, the Association of Corporate Growth (ACG), and active member of Charlotte Wine & Food Week and West Point Parents Association.
