A successful Warrior for a Day Event Reminds Us of the Importance of Partnership and EPIC’s 50/50 Culture

On January 31st, the Golden State Warriors held a special Warrior for a Day (WFAD) event—and this time EPIC was there!

In the afternoon, a group of EPIC team members arrived prepped and ready to play hardball with game-day staff and legendary basketball Hall-of-Famer Chris Mullin. EPIC is the official commercial insurance broker of both the Golden State Warriors and Chase Center, and the GSW Basketball Academy offers WFAD and other programs, like camps, clinics and private training, to partners and Warriors fans.

Dressed to the nines in brand new customized jerseys, our EPIC basketball fans spent over 90 minutes practicing rebounds on the professional ball court. While there, attendees also got to work with GSW Game Experiences, which gave up creative control of the Chase Center’s LED screens for the day. This allowed us to project EPIC-branded motion graphics, videos and taglines around the arena throughout the afternoon. The event was a hit!

But EPIC employees weren’t just there to play ball and have fun—they were there to celebrate our partnership, our success, and our EPIC 50/50 Culture.

EPIC’s 50/50 culture was created to express support for the valuable contributions of everyone on our immense team, whether producer or otherwise. Throughout the country, EPIC employs innumerable managers, designers, service, HR and support staff who do critical work for the company. Conceived by former CEO Steve Denton, EPIC’s 50/50 Culture honors these essential contributions to the ongoing success of EPIC.

After a fabulous afternoon of dunks and three-pointers, WFAD closed with a real live NBA game—the Phoenix Suns versus the Warriors—which EPIC members attended. Our teammates watched the action in an all-inclusive arena suite, with free food, beverages and an excellent view of the court from premium seats.

If you missed it, don’t worry. EPIC will be participating as a proud partner again next year!  The event was a thrill, but best of all are the people and the culture that make it all possible.
